1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by A-Sec Installations Ltd (“A-Sec”, “we”, “our”, “us”) to the customer (“you”, “your”).

By accepting a quotation, placing an order, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services

A-Sec Installations Ltd provides professional installation, maintenance and repair services including but not limited to:

• CCTV Systems
• Intruder Alarm Systems
• Access Control Systems
• Intercom Systems
• Security Upgrades
• Maintenance Services

All work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with current industry standards.

3. Quotations

3.1 Validity

All quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Acceptance

Acceptance of a quotation may be made verbally, electronically, in writing, or by instructing us to proceed with the work.

3.3 Changes

Any changes requested after acceptance may result in additional charges and revised completion dates.

4. Deposits & Payments

4.1 Deposits

We reserve the right to request a deposit before ordering equipment or commencing work.

4.2 Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed:

• Domestic customers: Payment due upon completion.
• Commercial customers: Payment due within 14 days of invoice date.

4.3 Late Payment

We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts in accordance with applicable legislation.

4.4 Ownership of Goods

All equipment supplied remains the property of A-Sec Installations Ltd until paid for in full.

5. Installation Appointments

Customers must ensure:

• Safe access to the property.
• Availability of suitable power supplies.
• Availability of internet connectivity where remote access features are requested.
• Access to relevant areas for installation.

Delays caused by lack of access may result in additional charges.

6. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

• Obtaining landlord consent where required.
• Obtaining planning permission where required.
• Informing us of hidden services such as cables, pipes or structural issues.
• Ensuring internet services remain operational where remote monitoring features are required.

7. Completion of Work

Installation work shall be deemed complete when:

• Equipment is installed and tested.
• The customer has been provided with basic operating instructions.
• Any agreed commissioning has been completed.

Minor cosmetic issues that do not affect operation shall not prevent completion.

8. Warranties

8.1 Equipment Warranty

Equipment supplied by A-Sec is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

8.2 Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty on installation work unless otherwise stated.

8.3 Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

• Accidental damage
• Vandalism
• Misuse
• Power surges
• Lightning strikes
• Third-party interference
• Internet or network failures
• Customer modifications

9. Maintenance

Maintenance agreements are subject to separate terms where applicable.

Routine maintenance does not guarantee prevention of equipment failure and should not be considered an insurance policy.

10. Remote Access Services

Where remote access functionality is provided:

• Internet connection quality is the responsibility of the customer.
• A-Sec cannot guarantee uninterrupted remote access.
• Service interruptions caused by internet providers, network equipment or third-party software are outside our control.

11. CCTV Systems

Customers are responsible for ensuring that any CCTV system is operated in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

This includes:

• Appropriate signage where required.
• Compliance with UK GDPR where applicable.
• Lawful use of recorded footage.

A-Sec accepts no responsibility for the customer’s ongoing legal obligations regarding CCTV operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

A-Sec Installations Ltd shall not be liable for:

• Loss of profits
• Business interruption
• Indirect or consequential losses
• Theft, burglary or criminal activity occurring before, during or after installation

Security systems reduce risk but cannot guarantee prevention of crime or loss.

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the services supplied.

13. Cancellation

13.1 Before Installation

Customers may cancel prior to installation.

Where equipment has already been ordered, we reserve the right to recover reasonable costs incurred.

13.2 After Installation

Once installation work has commenced, cancellation charges may apply based on work completed and materials supplied.

14. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

• Severe weather
• Supplier delays
• Transport disruptions
• Power outages
• Industrial disputes
• Government restrictions

15. Complaints

Any complaints should be submitted in writing to:

We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and resolve issues as promptly as possible.

16. Data Protection

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information regarding how personal data is collected, used and stored.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
